TMobile SPHL720T for new rom

Hello, I have samsung S4 sprint SPHL720T. I rooted and unlocked it and modem is MK5. Now it is M919 rom android 4.3 for TMobile, baseband L720TVPUAMK5 but it is too old. Many apps are not support. How do I upgrade to the latest rom version and still unlocked? which latest version is that? Can I upgrade to android version 6.0? any steps? thx.

Yes, I have twrp installed. I actually followed xda forum to unlocked my samsung s4 phone. I asked the same question in xda forum but noone answer. So I ask here if any advice? Thanks.

Thanks for your info. I looked it does not have related descriptions/steps. Why apps can not back compatible with older android like windows?
When I want to boot to recovery mode phone just boot to normal phone use. I have twrp twrp-3.1.1jfltespr.img installed before so I flash to twrp3.3.1-jfltetmo.img but it still boot to normal mode. I hold down 3 buttons see samsung logo then release. Do I need to hold down all 3 buttons until I see something on screen then release them?

U must hold them down untill it boots twrpvolume down center home and power for like 7 or 8 seconds won’t come up till samsung logo gose passed

You should see recovery booting in the upper letf corner u see that then let go of the buttons

Thank you. I spend a lots of time and find it only need to press two buttons. I can go into recovery mode. volumeup and power button.

Is there a CM14.1 rom or Lineage 16 for SPHL720T? I searched only CM13. I installed CM13 It shows device as SPHL720 Why it can not show SPHL720T? any suggestions. Thx.

I believe the “T” in the name of the device means TMobile and the only time the device would show SPHL720T is with the stock rom. Custom rom will not, to my knowledge.
Also, I have read " The T is the T ri-band, Spark version meaning that it has support for LTE on Bands 26 and 41 in addition to band 25. The non-T version only has support for LTE Band 25." So, it would depend on your application.
