I have a Moto e4 and I’m getting sporadic static/jumbled screens when scrolling some websites. I see it happening a lot on the IMDB site, but it has happened on other sites. I’ve attached a screenshot of one static screen I get, and the other static screen I get is solid static except for the address bar on top is still clear . I saw on one help video that it could be a custom ROM or a proximity sensor issue?
Not exactly sure I’ve never saw this my self but did u try a factory rest?? Factory rest first a lot of problems.
Yeah that’s definitely an odd one. I’ve also never seen it on just websites. I have seen the static like that on phones but the entire display had gone out.
Luckily I didn’t have to do a factory reset. I started using Firefox and haven’t had any static screens. I found some chats on Reddit’s site where others are having the same issue with Chrome. Hopefully Chrome knows and can fix the issue with their next update.

Sweet good job!!!
Just curious if you tried clearing the Chrome cache and storage and/or uninstall and reinstall Chrome? Truth be told, I’m using Firefox Focus
I haven’t tried anything else to try and fix the issue. I’m fine with using Firefox for now. I’ll give the software engineers a chance to figure out the problem, and I’ll try and reinstall it in a few months.
Ic ok
Have you ever tried Brave Browser? I use it on Android, Windows and Mac. It’s pretty customizable and automatically blocks almost all ads without having to add extensions or anything.
I’m back to using Chrome. I enabled it, installed the update from the play store, and now it doesn’t seem to be having the static issue anymore. I’ve never heard of Brave. I’ll try it and see what it’s like. Thanks.
