Hi,
I tried to find phone for me but I can’t because of one fact: phones should have fingerprint sensors on the FRONT and most of them have optical one. Only Samsung phones have Ultrasonic but I can’t afford/find them right now.
On the other hand, there is plenty cheap phones with Optical sensor.
So, my question is: should I buy a phone with optical sensor?
I saw that it is very EASY to fool Optical sensor, but maybe manufacturers fixed that through the software update?
If you suggest me to buy with Optical - which one? I am looking for second-hand ~500 eur.
Galaxy S10+ was my pick (~500 eur second-hand) but I can’t found one in my country for couple of months now. So, I am looking for alternative.
Optical is fine but personally I hate it, rear fingerprint works so much better. But if worse comes to worst people can just slice your finger off, limits of fingerprint sensors. Most optical I actually prefer they are faster.
Well, it is true about rear (capacitive) FP sensors, but it is sooo inconvenient. It just slows me down so much that I stopped using my phone and now I want to sell it just because of rear FP (Note 9). Face/eye recognition is also very inconvenient because I have to lift my phone (same as for rear FP). I really liked sensor placement on my Galaxy S7: fast, secure, convenient, reliable… so I thought Ultrasonic is the only true replacement.
