S20 gsi problem

need to look into samsung s20’s cause non of theirs things show up when u get into twrp,

System partition doesn’t appear on TWRP
failed to unmount system twrp

and other issue not understanding, following the youtube guide step by step once u get there, you do wipe, your device ends up not able to access usb to transfer files to the phone, so i use a SD card to transfer the img and such to the phone to be able to install gsi, than you run into a problem where there is no system to install it to… (select partition to flash img) there is no (system)

you must format then reboot recovery cuz its encrypted

nah i gave up still didn’t work so i went to my s10+ … noob question can i run rom without gsi ? or do i need gsi also?

Yes u can but u must use device specific roms

Samsungs r tricy to get gsi to run correctly on sometimes

okay cool, and what the difference between custom roms and gsi ? sorry for the noob question…
and with custom rom’s can i also root?

A gsi is a , generic system .img roms r full bless specific software for that one phone

So gsi can be flashed on any device but very hard to boot depends on the gsi

okay cool, i installed Pixel Experience rom and it loaded correctly do i need to use diable_dm-verity _forceencrypt or not needed?

If it booted ok no but it won’t hurt to flash it some time when u flash dm verity it can boot loop ur phone but if it dose just wipe fully and re flash

i also tried Havoc-OS gsi but in the end when i got everything working only problem i had was when i plug in usb cable phone to pc, i can’t get my phone to pop up so i can transfer files ? any help here,

Usb config should say file transfer / in dev options/ usb debugging should be on

I would use a normal rom try evolution x rom pretty good use magjsk root 21.1 magjsk man. 8.0
