Google Pixel 1 Band/Frequency Switching

Hey guys would appreciate your help, I’m trying to switch my frequency band but unable to, it switches to whatever band that’s available. I know the Samsung phones can select specific bands in service mode via *#2263# or within quick shortcut maker app. I’ve also tried network guru app the band locking feature is nowhere to be found.

So what is the problem exactly? Does it switch to 3G or something?

It stays connected to lte but on a different band at times sometimes the slower band due to low reception

Honestly I haven’t messed with it but let me try to see if I can find a method. In the meanwhile I would highly advise upgrading to a 5G phone as I noticed tmobile is actually downgrading or removing 4G LTE service around my area. Like I would get much slower speeds from same places but 5G gets great coverage everywhere so that might be, making tmobile trying to cut costs while deploying 5G.

Thanks max I really need you help if there’s a method I’ll gladly try it out. If the pixels don’t have a method for switching to specific bands like the galaxy phones I’ll probably have the same problem certain bands are much faster than others in my area the constant auto switching is annoying. Thank You.

Try ##3282## in the dialer and see if you get the menu.
For some reason it won’t show the asterisks in my post. Smh

Nothing happened

Man it won’t let me type the dialer code.
It’s asterisks#asterisks#3282#asterisks#asterisks

The numbers disappeared from the dialer

Alright try asterisks#asterisks#4636#asterisks#asterisks

Yeah that works but only give you basic options to switch from 3g to lte not the specific frequency bands like B2,B4,B12,B66,B71 (LTE Bands)

Yeah I was hoping it was different on the Pixel. There’s supposed to be a dialer code to where you can enter the actual LTE menu and unlock it with your MSL code. The 3282 code is supposed to work for that menu on the Pixel.

Saw it somewhere that network guru app should work but I keep getting “Forcing and control features No forcing features” message whenever I start the app.

I’ll keep looking to see what I can find. Unfortunately I don’t have a way to test any of this. I’ll let you know if I find a breakthrough.

Ok thank you
