Galaxy Player 5.0 Question

I have a YPG70 that I thought was dead and had the phone-yellow!triangle-pc icon only able to show. I was able to flash it using a ton of different sites finally, and can get to the downloader screen and I also can boot into an Android System recovery <3e> screen but it’s as if the Power button won’t work for Enter to select anything. Odin seems to recognize when I’m on that screen but when I go to flash the tar file it fails, and stays stuck here:

Check MD5… Do not unplug the cable…
Please wait…
YP-G70-UEKI8-Stock-USA-Meticulus.tar.md5 is valid.

Leave CS…
<ID: 0/004> Odin v.3 engine (ID:4)…

The recovery screen shows:

I’d like to just get this back to stock if possible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for replying. It’s a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0. It’s not a phone, but almost like one.

Oh ok ic what I would try is to install twrp if there is one then format all data then try to reinstall factory .img

Oh u may be able to use adb and use the command fastboot erase userdata then try that ??

That’s what I was thinking, but I don’t know how to gain access to the drive. Also, should I be in recovery or download mode while in ADB? I’m not a pro with ADB. ADB doesn’t recognize in recovery. Actually, it won’t recognize in download mode either. I can only get it the pc to show it recognizes it in Odin, but Odin fails when trying to do anything.

Ideally, I need a way to select options on the recovery screen, tapping the power button as ENTER does nothing. If I can somehow get that to register, I might be able to flash something.

Yes you need to be in download mode for ADB to work. If you can find and flash TWRP recovery you’ll be able to select stuff because it’s a touchscreen based recovery.

Thanks, but I need help doing that since I can’t have it mount to push anything. It recognizes but doesn’t respond when typing adb commands. I also can’t choose anything on the screen with Home or Power button on recovery screen. Only volume let me move up and down on the choices.
