Following steps what people call "Clean install via
advanced wipe in ‘TWRP recovery’ my persist partition (i.e. persist.img) on my OnePlus 7(guacamoleb) seems to be broken. I have tried using MSM tool and it won’t fix issues.
Alert slider won’t work as intended
And widevine is broken and is set to L3.
(These exist even after MSM and locking the bootloader)
Any help pertaining to this is welcome as forums are not talking about this issue.
Ok went u wipe clean your not suppose to wipe persist partion only dalvic cashe cashe data and internal storage leave everything else alone. Now there may be a way to find the presist file on xda forums.
There mite be a chance to fix it but it involves re flashing stock firmware
That should restore and functions you are now missing
Nope didn’t do that , there is no option to wipe persist partition afaik.
Tried using stock fastboot ROMs from XDA as per my android version and I am stuck at FASTBOOT MODE screen…
You can try extracting the stock firmware using 7zip and try to re flash the presist .img use preload.win to extract the op7 firmware
Hmm have tried that , using payload dumper over stock roms from XDA by mauronofrio but the fastboot packages are missing this particular partiton to my surprise !!
You can try to search xda deeper??
I’ve never run into any issues the MSM tool couldn’t fix. This seems strange!
