Some days ago you told me to post my question here,so here I am.
I bought a Pixel 4 XL from ebay from a German seller (condition ‘‘New’’)and after I opened the developers options I noticed that the ‘‘unlock the bootloader’’ button was on.
What does this mean?
The seller had the device listed as unlocked.
Is it possible that was not unlocked and he tried to unlock it ,so it can work in any European region?
Otherwise what does this means to me?Other than that the device was not ‘‘New’’ and unopened as it was listed.

bootloader is unlocked which is fine. you can reinstall stock firmware to be sure you have no spyware installed by the seller, follow this guide:

I assume that the device was locked to a carrier and he unlocked it.
What else could it be?

Sorry for troubling you again but some crazy idea came into my mind and I have to ask.
Is it possible that me,myself did it accidently as I was scrolling down the developers choise menu and taped it by mistake?
Can this be done?and what affect might have if I did it and the device is not rooted?
Can the '‘unlock the bootloader button’'checked on without the device been rooted?

Hey bud, is the “Unlock the bootloader” option greyed out to where it can’t be turned back off? If so then it is unlocked, but you couldn’t have accidentally done it. You’d need to connect it to a computer and issue ADB commands to unlock it. If you can turn it back off then the bootloader hasn’t been unlocked yet. That option can be turned on and off and it doesn’t do anything. It just has to be turned on, and “USB debugging” needs to be turned on before you can actually unlock the bootloader.

The option is not greyed and it can be turned back off,so probably I did it myself accidentally while I was scrolling down the developers option menu.Probably.

And man I would love to visit Greece. Maybe when the mini plague is gone I can visit there and Japan.
